Brittany Schmidt, MA-CCC/SLP is an American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified and South Dakota Licensed Speech Language Pathologist who has been working with and for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) for over 25 years. In 2009, Brittany left the Center for Disabilities at the University of South Dakota, where she was their ASD Program Director, to start Autism Behavioral Consulting. Brittany has been involved with all aspects of ASD programming including therapy, diagnostics, consultation and training for parents and service providers alike. Social Thinking, communication, verbal apraxia, creating communication alternatives for challenging behavior as well as the intervention strategies associated with the study of verbal behavior are all specific interest areas.
