An emphasis on staff development and progress monitoring for both staff learning and the student’s progress is the goal. ABC can provide training from 1 hour to several days on a variety of topics which include:
Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Verbal Behavior, Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills - Revised (ABLLS-R), Applied Behavioral Analysis and Discrete Trial Teaching (ABA/DTT), Structured Teaching/Visual Communication, Ziggurat Model, Comprehensive Autism Planning System (CAPS), Characteristics of learners with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), Early Identification of ASDs, curriculum and inclusion considerations, and Social Thinking and pragmatic language intervention. If the team determines training is needed this can be provided by the consultant.
